The son rushed to the spot and confirmed that it was his father’s body, said a police officer. The Sathyamangalam police registered a case and handed over the body to the family, who then performed the final rights and buried the body on Sunday night.
On Monday evening, however, the family was shocked as Moorthy walked into the house. His son, Karthi, was shocked. He said, as reported by The Times of India, “We couldn’t believe our eyes when he entered the house. I was shocked to hear the news of my father’s death and I was equally shocked when he walked into the house.”
Karthi informed the police, who have resumed an inquiry to trace the real identity of the deceased person.
