Foreign workers and personnel in Bangladesh formally remit about US$ 2 billion or Taka 165 billion a year, according to Pew Research Center. But according to an unofficial estimate made by the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute President Farooq Sobhan, Indian nationals alone take home Tk 320 billion or US$ 3.8 billion annually.
