Colombo, April 2 (newsin.asia) – The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) delegation headed by Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan arrived at the Sri Lankan Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday to discuss with the President, the no confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
With less than 24 hours to go before the crucial no faith motion is taken up in Parliament, political parties have been meeting President Maithripala Sirisena to convey their decisions.
While intense discussions were held between Sampanthan and Sirisena, Sampanthan told reporters following the meeting that it would convey the TNA’s decision to the President on Tuesday night.
Wickremesinghe is likely to win the no confidence motion if it garners the support of the TNA.
