Colombo, March 5 (newsin.asia): Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, arrived in Sri Lanka, on Friday to attend the 70 year celebrations of Sri Lankan Air Force.
He was greeted with a very warm welcome and reception by the Commander of Sri Lankan Air force Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana. The visit signifies the strong bond and friendship between the two countries and their Armed Forces, the Pakistan High Commission said in a press release.
Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan visited the Sri Lankan Air Force Head Quarters to call on the Commander of Sri Lankan Air force, Air Marshal Pathirana. He was presented a Guard of Honor on arrival at Air Head Quarters. Both Chiefs discussed bilateral issues and vowed to further strengthen the excellent relations between the two Air forces.
The Air Chief called on the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa in his office. The Air Chief expressed his gratitude to the Sri Lankan Prime Minister for the hospitality and warmth extended by people of Sri Lanka. He vowed to strengthen the bond between the nations and to stand together in times of crises. He also conveyed Pakistan’s desire and resolve to further enhance the existing civil-miltary cooperation between the two countries.
