Feb 14 (newsin.asia) – The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction culminated after a two-day frenetic action in Bengaluru on Sunday before setting the tone for what should be another exciting season of T20 cricket. The 10 teams bought as many as 204 players after shelling out a total of Rs 551.70 crore at the mega-auction in Bengaluru.
The IPL has come a full circle as teams have spent a lot on overseas stars in the first few seasons, but on Saturday, home-grown talents were in demand as teams reserved their highest bids for them.

England pacer Jofra Archer was acquired by Mumbai Indians for Rs 8 crore during the accelerated part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction on Sunday. West Indies batter Rovman Powell was sold to Delhi Capitals for Rs 2.8 crore while New Zealand batter Devon Conway was picked by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 1 crore.
India U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull was sold to Delhi Capitals, all-rounder Raj Bawa and Rajvardhan Hangargekar were sold to Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings, respectively.
