New Delhi, April 10 (newsin.asia) – India reported a record 145,384 new COVID-19 cases according to the health ministry data on Saturday (10).
In the last 24 hours, 794 people died; 1,68,436 people have died so far. This is the fourth consecutive day that India has recorded more than 1 lakh cases in 24 hours.
As cases continue to surge, more cities and towns are announcing night curfews and weekend lockdowns to curb the spread of the virus.
A night curfew will be enforced in Bengaluru and six other cities in Karnataka from 10 pm to 5 am starting tomorrow, till April 20, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said yesterday.
India’s overall caseload was 13.21 million, the third-highest globally, behind the United States and Brazil.
