Colombo, Nov 3 (newsin.asia) – Popular social media app, WhatsApp is currently down in several countries including India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan with millions of users unable to use the chatting app.
Latest reports said that the outage had spread across Europe and Asia with the US company stating it was aware of the problem and were working on restoring the service worldwide. The issue has been related to a server problem.
Users have been unable to send or receive messages for a few hours with many taking to Facebook to voice their dissatisfaction.
When clicking on the Help section of the app, WhatsApp says, “Our service is experiencing a problem right now. We are working on it and hope to restore the functionality shortly. Sorry fr the inconvenience.”
Similar outages were experienced in May 2017 and on New Year’s Eve in 2015.
