New Delhi, Sept 21 (IndiaToday) – A major accident was averted when officials of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) rescued a woman and her three-year-old daughter after they slipped under a moving train while deboarding at Lucknow’s Charbagh Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh.
The woman had boarded a parked Garib Rath Express train to use the bathroom for her minor daughter. However, the train started moving before the duo could get off safely. The woman panicked and tried to deboard the moving train. She slipped and fell under the train along with her daughter.

In the video, the woman could be seen being dragged by the train as she struggled to get off, and seconds later she slipped into the gap between the platform and the moving train. As the incident unfurled, passengers could be seen rushing towards the tracks.
Witnessing the incident, passengers present at the station raised an alarm, following which RPF constable Sunil Jaiswal entered the train and pulled the chain to stop it. Another RPF constable, who was heading home after his duty, Virendra Kumar Yadav, rescued the mother-daughter duo, thus averting a major accident.
