Jan 21 (NewsWire) – The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has extended the special incentive scheme that was introduced for inward workers’ remittances, until April 2022.
Last year (2021), the CBSL introduced the “Incentive Scheme on Inward Workers’ Remittances” for the benefit of Sri Lankan migrant workers.

This includes the payment of an additional Rs. 8.00 per US dollar for workers’ remittances paid in addition to the incentive of Rs. 2.00 per US dollar offered under the scheme.
The Central Bank has announced that the“Incentive Scheme on Inward Workers’ Remittances” has been extended until 30 April 2022.
