Colombo, April 23: The Prime Minister of SriLanka Dinesh Gunawardena accompanied by the Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay and other dignitaries issued a Special Commemorative Cover for Sita Temple near Nuwara Eliya on Sunday.
They also laid the foundation stone for a Meditation Centre at the Temple.
The Sita Eliya temple is believed to signify the Ashok Vatika or Asoka Vanam (in Tamil) in the epic Ramayana. The Meditation Centre will add to the facilities at the temple and help attract tourists from India and other places.
