June 29 (IndiaToday) – Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil’s Vikram is having a dream run at the box office. The action thriller is now the highest-grossing Tamil film in many countries. Recently, Vikram surpassed the Rs 400-core mark worldwide. Trade reports suggest that the film is likely to cross Rs 500-crore mark if it continues to rake in money at this rate.
VIKRAM IS THE HIGHEST-GROSSING FILM IN MANY COUNTRIES
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vikram was released in theatres across the globe on June 3 in multiple languages. The film has impressed one and all.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala wrote that Vikram is the highest-grossing Tamil film in Singapore.
That’s not it. Vikram is also the highest grossing Tamil film in the United Kingdom, UAE and Kerala as well. Trade analyst LM Kaushik informed fans that Vikram is the highest-grossing film (and share) in Tamil Nadu.
According to Kaushik’s tweet, Vikram is performing exceptionally well in the Middle East. The film crossed the $3 million mark (Rs 24 crore approximately) and is still going strong.

Gayathrie, Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Vasanthi and Santhana Bharathi played supporting roles in the film. Suriya appeared as Rolex in an explosive cameo, which set the screens on fire. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
