Mumbai, October 30 (newsin.asia) – India saw an increase of 48,648 coronavirus positive patients detected across the country yesterday (29) bringing the COVID-19 tally past 8 million cases.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 8,088,851 with 594,386 active cases according to the Health Ministry data. 7,373,375 cases have recovered so far with 121,090 deaths reported.
Life in India is returning back to pre-virus levels with shops, subway trains and movie theatres reopening. The country’s third-largest state of Bihar, with a population of about 122 million people, is also holding elections.
Health experts warn that mask and distancing fatigue is setting in and can lead to a fresh wave of infections especially when the Diwali festival period is closing in.
