Colombo, July 31 (newsin.asia) – Sri Lanka on Friday (July 30) rolled out more than 500,000 COVID vaccinations for the second consecutive day, the State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals stated.
As per official data, the national inoculation drive has rolled out more than 11.7 million vaccinations in the country against the novel coronavirus.

The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 306,000 mark as another 2,460 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (30).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 306,662 with 27,126 active cases registered across the island and as many as 275,212 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.
Sri Lanka also registered 56 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Thursday (July 29).
Reportedly, among the victims are fifteen were aged between 30-59 years and the remaining 41 were aged 60 and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 4,380 as of now.
