Colombo, June 29 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 255,000 mark as another 1,890 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (29).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 255,508 with 31,315 active cases registered across the island and as many as 221,249 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 41 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday. The Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Friday (June 27).
Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 2,985 as of now.
