Colombo, April 1 (NIA) – Sri Lanka’s Joint Opposition, headed by former President Mahinda Rajapakse is expected to hold a massive May Day rally in Colombo’s Galle Face Green, party officials said.
Officials said that members from each district had been tasked to gather at least one bus load of supporters from their area to travel to Colombo and food and travel facilities would be provided.
The Joint Opposition is hoping to bring to light the ‘failures’ of the government at this year’s May Day rally and call for a regime change.

Rajapakse himself is expected to attend the rally in Galle Face along with party members and some Tamil and Muslim politicians.
