Colombo, Oct 3 (newsin.asia) – Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena, on Tuesday strongly condemned the Las Vegas shooting which killed at least 59 people and injured over 500.
In a message on his official twitter account, Sirisena said collective action against such menace was essential and said he was shocked over the shooting.
“Dastardly attack in LasVegas killing more than 50 is shocking. Condemnation and collective action against this menace is essential,” the President said.
Sri Lankan officials in the US said that there were no reports of Sri Lankans being among the dead or injured.
A gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas towards an open-air music festival on Sunday evening, killing 59 people and injuring 527.
Investigators have found no link to international terrorism. The gunman shot himself after the massacre.
