Colombo, December 13 (Xinhua): Fish sales across Sri Lanka had declined in recent weeks following a COVID-19 outbreak in a fish market in Peliyagoda in the capital city in October, spreading fears that fish might also be contaminated once they reached the vendors.
The Health Ministry denied such claims and urged the public to resume fish purchases in order to assist fishermen. Officials also urged the public to pay attention to scientific cooking before eating fish.
