Colombo, June 6 (Daily Mirror) – Fourteen people have died and 245,212 people belonging to 60, 674 families have been affected in ten districts due to adverse weather conditions experienced in the country, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.
They said people in Gampaha, Ratnapura, Colombo, Puttalam, Kalutara, Nuwara Eliya, Kegalla, Kandy, Kurunegala and Galle districts have been affected.

Accordingly, two people were injured two persons are missing, the DMC said.
14 houses are partially damaged and 817 houses fully damaged. 15,658 individuals belonged to 3,520 families have been directed to 72 safe locations, the DMC said.
The deaths have been reported from Gampaha (2), Ratnapura (3), Colombo (1), Puttalam (1), Kalutara (1), Kegalle (5) and Galle (1), DMC added.
