Colombo, Dec 7 (NewsWire) – Sri Lanka has eased a Covid regulation by lifting the mandatory requirement of producing a Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate to enter the country.
The Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena announced that producing the Covid vaccination after arriving from overseas will be removed from today.
Smart vaccination certificates were made mandatory after Sri Lanka decided to open its borders to foreign nationals in 2021.
The programme was launched by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) in collaboration with the Health Ministry and World Health Organization (WHO).
