Colombo, August 24 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 394,000 mark as another 4,355 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (23).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 394,355 with 42,608 active cases registered across the island and as many as 344,381 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 194 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Sunday (22).
Reportedly, none of the victims were below the age of 30 while another 49 were between the ages of 30 and 59.
The remaining 145 were aged 60 years and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 7,560 as of now.
