Colombo, Sept 3 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 447,000 mark as another 3,627 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (2).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 447,757 with 59,985 active cases registered across the island and as many as 378,168 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 204 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Wednesday (1).
Reportedly, among the victims 5 were aged below 30 years, 50 victims were aged between 30-59 years and 149 others aged 60 and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 9,604 as of now.
