Colombo, August 12 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 342,000 mark as another 2,890 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (11).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 342,079 with 36,333 active cases registered across the island and as many as 300,406 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 124 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Tuesday (10).
Reportedly, one of the victims is below the age of 30, 28 are between the ages of 30-59 while the remaining 95 are aged 60 and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 5.464 as of now.
