Colombo, July 14 (NewsWire) – A record 337,445 people were administered the COVID-19 vaccine in Sri Lanka yesterday.
State Minister Channa Jayasumana said it is the highest number of vaccines to be administered in a single day in the country so far.

As per the Health Ministry, 4,520,537 people have received their first dose of the Covid vaccine in Sri Lanka.
A total of 1, 537, 230 people have been administered the second dose of the vaccine to date.
The Government has thus far administered the AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Sputnik V, and Pfizer Covid vaccines in Sri Lanka.
State Minister Channa Jayasumana further said Sri Lanka is to receive 1.5 million doses of the Moderna vaccine this week.
He said the vaccines are to be delivered through the Covax facility of the World Health Organization (WHO).
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa announced earlier this month that the Moderna vaccine will be administered in the Kandy District.
