Colombo, Jan 6 (NIA) – More protests were held in Sri Lanka on Friday, as port workers came on to the streets to oppose the government’s move to hand over an 80 percent stake of the Hambantota Port, in southern Sri Lanka, to China. Cameraman Ajith Perera captured these pictures of the protest held outside the Colombo Port on Friday.
Sri Lanka is expected to sign the final deal with China Merchants Holdings later this month.
