Sept 2 (newsin.asia) – A woman in Puttalam has given birth to triplets at the Puttalam Hospital. According to the hospital the triplets, two girls and a boy, are currently in good health.
Reportedly, the woman had contracted COVID-19 while she was seven months pregnant. She had been treated at the hospital for 14-days and then discharged.
However, after completing 34 weeks of her pregnancy she had been readmitted to the hospital due to high blood pressure. The hospital is reported to have anticipated the birth of the triplets and had made necessary preparations for the occasion.
She underwent a cesarian during the 35th week of her pregnancy at the Puttalam Hospital.
