Feb 15 (NewsWire) – Imposing a power cut will be imminent, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) announced today.
Chairman of the PUCSL Janaka Ratnayake said that the mechanism for the power cuts will be announced during the course of the day.

Meanwhile, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said that power generation has been halted at the Kelanitissa Sojitz power plant.
The CEB said power generation has been halted at the plant due to a lack of fuel.
Sri Lanka is facing a power crisis as the Government is unable to purchase the necessary fuel for power generation due to the existing Dollar crisis.
