Colombo, April 5 (NewsWire) – Newly-appointed Minister of Finance Ali Sabry has resigned from his new portfolio.
Sabry was part of the four-member temporary Cabinet that was appointed by the President yesterday in the midst of the public protests against the Government over the economic crisis.
In a letter addressed to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Minister Sabry informed of his decision to step down from his portfolio as Minister of Finance.
