October 23 (India Today) – India captain Virat Kohli, who has redefined the meaning of fitness for Indian athletes, on Wednesday took to social media to highlight the importance of a vegetarian diet. The swashbuckling batsman said he has never felt better in life after turning vegetarian last year.
Virat Kohli, meanwhile also appreciated the Netflix Documentary ‘ The Game Changers’ in which retired English professional mixed martial artist travels the world on a quest for the truth about meat, protein, and strength.
After watching the web documentary, this is what Kohli had to say:
“Saw game changers on Netflix. Being a vegetarian athlete has made me realise what I have believed all these years regarding diet was a myth. What an amazing documentary and yes I’ve never felt better in my life after I turned vegetarian,” Virat Kohli tweeted.
After taking up vegetarianism, Virat Kohli took a step further as the 30-year-old joined the vegan club of athletes. “Kohli started this diet four months ago and is feeling stronger as his digestive power has increased. He isn’t missing meat, eggs or dairy,” sources had earlier said.
