The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has appealed to the Sri Lankan Migrant Community to continue using formal channels for remittances which would, in turn, help the country’s economy.
In a special notice, the bank highlighted that the use of formal channels for remittances will help Sri Lanka continue to carry out international forex transactions.
“These transactions will help fulfill the essential needs of Sri Lanka such as fuel, gas, medicine, and food,” the CBSL added.
