November 21 (newsin.asia) – Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was sworn in as Sri Lanka’s new Prime Minister in front of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo a short while ago.

Rajapaksa was sworn in as Prime Minister after Ranil Wickremesinghe resigned from the post on Wednesday.

Wickremesinghe sent in his official resignation letter on Thursday morning which was accepted by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
