New Delhi, September 2 (newsin.asia): The Sri Lankan High Commissioner-designate to India, Milinda Moragoda, visited the Swaminarayan Akshardham (temple) here on Thursday.
“The experience was truly inspiring. This is mesmerizingly beautiful and grand. The visit to the temple was a spiritual journey and a unique experience.” Milinda Moragoda said.

The High Commissioner was greeted by Gnanmuni Swami on behalf of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj.
The seven-member delegation which went with the High Commissioner included spouse Jennifer Moragoda, Deputy High Commissioner Niluka Kadurugamuw, Minister Upul Pushpakumar and Minister Counsellor Sarath Godakanda.
Moragoda performed Abhishek to share sentiments for world peace and harmony.
The Sri Lankan delegation viewed the Gajendra Pithika (Elephant Plinth) that includes 148 lifelike carved stone elephants depicting messages of social harmony, peace, and spirituality. They also saw the ‘Sanskruti Vihar’ exhibition that displays 10,000 years of India’s heritage and contributions to society.
