New Delhi January 16 (newsin.asia): Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda met the National Security Advisor of India Ajit Kumar Doval, on Monday and discussed matters pertaining to India-Sri Lanka relations.
The discussion focused on mutual strategic interests of the two countries and priority areas for cooperation.
The meeting took place as part of the regular and ongoing dialogue between the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka and the National Security Advisor of India.
The meeting precedes the two-day visit of the Indian Foreign Minster Dr.S.Jaishankar beginning on January 19. Media reports say that Jaishankar might make a significant announcement regarding Sri Lanka’s foreign debt restructuring and the implementation of some long-pending projects like the development of Trincomalee and the power cable link with India.
