Feb 21 (India Today) – Very few managers are adored and admired by the fans more than Jurgen Klopp. Klopp’s warm, welcoming demeanor, commitment to the cause and heavy metal football has made him a fan favorite and he absolutely loves it.
On Friday, Klopp was at it again as he brilliantly replied to a letter from a young Manchester United fan who asked Liverpool to ‘stop winning’.
10-year-old Daragh Curley, who is a Manchester United fan, wrote a letter to the Liverpool manager for a school assignment.
In the letter, Curley wrote: “Liverpool are winning too many games. If you win nine more games then you have the best unbeaten run in English football. Being a United fan that is very sad.
“So the next time Liverpool play, please make them lose. You should just let the other team score. I hope I have convinced you to not win the league or any other match ever again.”
The Liverpool boss shocked the young fan as he took time out of his day to reply to Daragh. Klopp explained that it’s his job to keep his side winning and said that United were lucky to have the youngster as a fan.
Klopp’s reply reads:
“Unfortunately, on this occasion, I cannot grant your request, not through choice anyway. “As much as you want Liverpool to lose it is my job to do everything that I can to help Liverpool to win as there are millions of people around the world who want that to happen, so I really do not want to let them down.
