Colombo, October 2 (newsin.asia): Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla arrived here on Saturday for an official four-day visit to Sri Lanka at the invitation of the Sri Lankan Foreign Secretary Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage.
He was received at the Bandaranaike International Airport by Adm.Prof. Colombage and Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay.
While in the island, Shringla will have discussions with Foreign Secretary Adm. Prof.Colombage, Foreign Minister Prof.G.L.Peries, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa,.
The visiting Foreign Secretary is also expected to visit Kandy, Trincomalee and Jaffna during his stay in Sri Lanka.
The visit will contribute to consolidating the longstanding multifaceted relations and enhance bilateral partnerships between the two countries.. This will be Shringla’s first visit to Sri Lanka since assumption of office as the Foreign Secretary of India.
