Colombo, March 1: In a video interview to India Today, the Sri Lankan Foreign Secretary Adm.Prof.Jayanath Colombage said that he hopes India will vote for Sri Lanka in the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on the resolution on human rights and accountability. Prof. Colombage said he is aware that Tamil Nadu elections are in the offing and that Sri Lanka is always an issue there. “However, India is a great friend. We expect India to stand by Sri Lanka,” he said.
