Colombo, February 3 – The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA) has revealed that there was no benefit in administering the COVID-19 vaccine to people addicted to alcohol and cigarettes.
NATA Chairman Dr. Samadhi Rajapaksa said smoking and consuming alcohol reduces the immunity of a person.
Speaking to repoerters today, he further said that it was only fair to provide the vaccination to people who do not consume alcohol or cigarettes.
