Colombo, March 22 (NIA) – Sri Lankan Police have decided to deploy teams of police officers, in uniformed and in civilian clothing, near girls’ schools in and around Colombo city, local media reports said.
Police spokesman DIG Priyantha Jayakody stated that a full-scale investigation had been launched in regard to a recent incident where schoolboys from a leading school in Colombo had unlawfully entering a girls’ school, behaving in an unruly manner and assaulting a school employee.
Jayakody said that stern action would be taken against students who behave in an unruly manner on the streets due to the school big match season.
