Colombo, July 1 (newsin.asia): Geethanath Kassilingam, who was previously assisting Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in matters connected to the Tamils has now been appointed as the Government’s Resettlement Facilitator for the Northern and Eastern Provinces, which have a majority of Tamil-speakers.
Kassilingam had earlier assisted Namal Rajapaksa, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Youth Leader and the current Cabinet Minister of Sports, and State Minister of Digital Technology and Entrepreneur Development.
Kassilingam was educated at the Jaffna Hindu College.
