Colombo, Nov 20 (newsin.asia) – An explosion has taken place at a building at Cinnamon Gardens in Reid Avenue, Colombo 7, Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said.
According to the Police Spokesperson, it is suspected that a gas leak had caused the fire, however, no lives have been harmed due to the explosion.

Further investigations into the incident are underway whilst the Government Analyst has also been referred to with regard to the incident.
Update: Police say that two persons with minor injuries were reported.
The Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the two youths were waiting for a taxi at a car park near the scene of the blast.
The two youths have been directed to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and later returned to the Cinnamon Gardens Police Station to inform the Police of the incident.
