Colombo, March 23 (newsin.asia) – The curfew imposed in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam and 5 districts of the Northern Province will be lifted at 6 am tomorrow (24) for a period of 6 hours. The curfew will be re-imposed at 12 noon and will be in effect until 6 am on Friday (March 27).
Meanwhile, the curfew on other districts, where it has been temporarily lifted, will resume at 2 pm today (23). The curfew in those areas will continue to be in effect until 6 am on Thursday (26).
The number of COVID – 19 patients have risen to 81 in the country.
In addition, the government has issued instructions to close down all liquor stores in the country even while the curfew is not in effect. The Police have also been instructed to ensure that farmers are allowed to continue their agricultural activities without any hindrances.
