Colombo, Oct 30 (DailyMirror) – The number of COVID-19 cases will definitely go up in coming months, notwithstanding there is a dip in the cases at present, health officials pointed out.
Dr Malkanthi Galhena, Consultant Family Physician at the Ministry of Health told a news briefing today that according to the information received by the Health Ministry, the number of COVID patients would increase in coming months.

“At present, COVID guidelines and practices are being ignored as people have started to act recklessly when venturing outside,”
“It is pathetic to note that people haven’t realised the imminent danger that could pop up if they continue to ignore health rules,” she added.
Thus, Dr. Galhena urged people to abide by the health guidelines especially when using public transport and participating in functions; otherwise surge in cases would be inevitable.
