Colombo, June 17 (newsin.asia) – Sri Lanka registered 59 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday. The Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Tuesday (June 15).
As per official data, 38 victims were aged 60 years and above and 20 were aged between 30-59 years. Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 2,374 by now.

The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 230,000 mark as another 2.419 new Covid-19 cases had been detected.
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 230,675 with 34,215 active cases registered across the island and as many as 194,145 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.
