Colombo, October 12 (newsin.asia) – According to the National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 (NOCPOC), a total of 124 persons were confirmed positive to novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
From the 124 patients identified, three are returnees from abroad – two having returned from Kuwait and one from Oman.
51,004 individuals have so far completed their quarantining process and returned home. As of this morning (12), 10,447 persons in 93 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. According to NOCPOC, 3468 PCR tests were carried out across the country yesterday (11) and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 331,972.
The total number of COVID-19 infections reported in the country is at 4,791 cases with 13 deaths from the virus so far according to the Health Ministry while 1,461 patients infected with the virus are currently being treated at hospitals.
