Colombo, October 30 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 10,000 mark today as 314 new cases have been detected within the day (30).
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 10,105 with 5,804 active cases across the island according to the Health Promotion Bureau. 4,282 cases have recovered so far with 19 deaths reported.
Epidemiology Unit said that 100 foreign national patients were among the 10,105 patients identified in Sri Lanka.
Curfew has been imposed on the entire Western Province from midnight today.
Majority of the positive cases have been linked to the Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda cluster, which registered a record total of 6,627 cases just within a month.
