Aamir Khan’s Dangal has added another feather to its record-breaking cap, by becoming the first film to cross the Rs 3500 million (US$ 51.3 million) mark in 17 days.
t seems like Aamir Khan’s Dangal is on a spree of breaking all Box Office records. Recently, the film emerged as the highest grossing Hindi movie ever, leaving behind films like PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. Now, Dangal has added another feather to its record-breaking cap, by becoming the first film to cross the Rs 3500 million-mark.
It won’t be wrong to say that Mr Perfectionist is in competition with himself. His films Ghajini, 3 Idiots, PK and Dangal are the first to cross Rs 1000 million (US$ 14.6 million); Rs 2000 million (US$ 29.3 million); Rs 3000 million (US$ 44.01 million) , and Rs 3500 (US$ 51.3 million) million mark respectively.
Undoubtedly, Dangal is reaching new heights with every passing day.
On Monday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and said that Dangal has crossed the lifetime business of PK (Rs 3400 million or US$ 49.8 million) on Day 17 of its release and is not only the highest grosser Hindi film in India but also in USA – Canada and Australia..
