Aug 25 (NewsWire) – The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) has introduced a new programme for Kandy residents to list their properties, including residences as accommodation for the upcoming Asia Cup cricket tournament.
Issuing a special notice, the SLTDA announced that those living in Kandy can offer extra rooms in their houses as accommodation for cricket fans visiting the area for the cricket series.
The SLTDA is offering a temporary registration scheme for Kandy property owners who want to rent out their extra rooms, homes or apartments for money, in a bid to cater to the high demand for accommodation during the Asia Cup series.
There is a high demand for hotels due to tourists from India and Pakistan arriving to witness the India – Pakistan clash.
Those interested in renting out their properties have been requested to register with the SLTDA as soon as possible.
