Colombo, Nov 25 (NewsWire) – A very rare natural Phenakite gemstone has been found in Sri Lanka.
According to the National Gem and Jewellery Authority, this is the largest Phenakite gemstone to be found in the country.

The gemstone is currently owned by a gem businessman from Beruwala.
Chairman of the Gem and Jewellery Authority, Thilak Weerasinghe said that this gemstone which weighs 616.9 carats, would be worth around Rs. 1 billion.
