Colombo, Feb 1 (NIA) – Sri Lankan Fishermen, on Wednesday caught a lucky catch. Surprisingly when the fishermen were in deep seas in Wadduwa, in southern Sri Lanka, they caught over 5000 kilos of Para fish, which has been the largest catch in the island country.
The catch became a large attraction as the public including tourists thronged to the beach to see the fish piled up on the sand.
A local fishermen said he had never caught so many fish in his lifetime and wondered if the catch was a ‘sign’.

The fish were eventually sold in the local market.
