Colombo, Sept 27 (NIA) – The remains of a a high profile Sri Lankan editor and journalist, Lasantha Wickremetunga was exhumed by investigators on Tuesday in order to conduct a fresh probe into his murder.
The remains were exhumed amidst tight security, following an order issued by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court earlier this month, considering a request made by the Criminal Investigations Department. The reason for exhumation is to determine the exact cause of his death. (Pics By Ajith Perera)
