Colombo, June 25 (newsin.asia) – Sri Lanka will produce its first 3D movie which will spread awareness on the drug trade in the island country.

The movie will be produced by local film director, Rohan Welivita and will star popular Sri Lankan actors Lucky Dias, Roger Seneviratne, and Buddhika Jayaratne.

The film depicts the manner in which the drug trade has seeped into society despite the efforts of a committed policeman to combat it.

The script has been written by Welivita and the movie will be titled ‘Shakti’.

Welivita said he will be using the advanced 3D technology which will use a 3D rig in the production of this film.

The shooting of the movie is set to commence in October this year.

Sri Lanka’s first 3D animated movie, titled ‘Gajaman’ is set to release soon. The animated movie is directed by Chanaka Perera, who is a professional 3D animator involved in the Information Technology and Advertising industries.
